Synergic Mig Welders use a few smarts to make the mig process more operator friendly. Synergic mig machines contain wire data such that the operator simply selects the wire type, wire thickness and the machine will convert the arc voltage and wire speed into a single amperage control. In other words, you only need to turn the amps knob to increase the weld heat, your synergic welder will take care of arc voltage and wire speed.

If however you like to fiddle, don't worry as there are also manual overide modes where you can tweak every setting.
